What is the City of Aurora Program?
The City of Aurora Down Payment Assistance Program helps qualified homebuyers reduce upfront costs and make homeownership more achievable within the city limits. It is funded through the Colorado Department of Local Affairs using Proposition 123 affordable housing funds provided to local governments.

Benefits:
✔Assistance covers betweek 4%-10% of the home's purchase price
✔Provided as a silent 2nd loan, no monthly payment and no rate
✔Repayment is only required when the homeowner sells, refinances or pays off the primary mortgage
✔Intended to reduce cash out of pocket for working families
Qualifying:

Location: Must be within the City of Aurora limits

Income: Households must earn no more than 120% of the area median income(Currently $168,120 for a family of 4)

Must be the buyer's primary residence

Funding is first-come, first-served (currently scheduled to continue through Oct 31, 2026)
Steps:
✔Go to the City of Aurora online portal and create an account: portal.neighborlysoftware.com/auroraco/participant
✔Once the application is completed, you will hear back about your assistance amount.
✔The next step is to return to us and complete your application with a lender. You will then pair the assistance with the City of Aurora with your primary loan(We handle all of this)
